Dear Members,

Come Raya holidays, get ready to ‘eXpdc’ to idyllic Khao lak and the ‘unseen’ Khao Sok National Park’s Gui Lin of Thailand.

Khao Lak is a 25km long strip of coastal resorts consisting the best beaches one can find on the Andaman coast line of Thailand. Home to 60 – 80 upscale beach resort it is the perfect getaway for those who want to be away from the crowded masses, which prefers family-friendly night time environment and tranquility. To keep this area pristine, the local authority prohibits structures to build beyond the height of coconut palm!. Khao Lak is also the departure point for scuba diving trips to the famous Similan islands and Surin Islands.

We will be staying in Laguna Khao Lak Resort, one of the best in Khao Lak. In natural setting by the beach on Highway 4, it is a fusion of Chinese, Indian, Thai and Burmese architectural. Be pampered by its ambience friendly staffs and excellent food.

Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park

Situated just adjacent to our hotel (Khao Lak Laguna), is famous for its fauna and flora. Ideal for those who loves nature.

Takuapa Old Town

30km north of Khao Lak consisting the Old Town and New Town. Takuapa Old Town is a reminder of its history as one of the most important tin mining areas in Thailand dating back a century ago. It is dotted with Sino – Portuguese architecture and famous for its Sunday Market. There are also a number of seafood restaurants along its river banks.

Waterfalls

Chong Fah, Lam Ru, Ton Pling, Hin Lad and Sairung waterfalls are all located along Highway 4 which runs in front of our HOTEL.

Phang Nga Bay

The Phang Nga Bay or Ao Phang Nga National Park covers a vast area both onshore & offshore of about 100,00 acres. Famous for its scenic views of mass limestone formation jutting out from the sea, island caves and mangroves. This is where the famous James Bond Island is located. Tour can be arranged at Phang Nga Bay or from our HOTEL.

Other attractions

Tsunami memorial and museum, Police Boat 813 & Baan Nam Lhem village are all reminders of the disaster that happened on Dec 2004.

The organizer reserves the right to adjust to change the itinerary accordingly to suit the event if circumstances warrant.

ROOMS BASED ON FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.

We will not be accepting entries after the closing date so that we can fine tune our preparation to make this event a memorable one. We seek your co-operation and understanding that the club organizing committees are all volunteers and therefore have their time constrains.

Khao Sok National Park – Ratchaprapa Dam

This is where the famous ‘unseen’ Gui Lin of Thailand is located. We will spend half a day here exploring this vast lake in long tail boat to absorb the breathtaking scenery. If all this look interesting to you, sign up now!

Cameron Highlands
